I am actually going to have to run some irrigation to the pastures tomorrow. They are looking very sad for this time of year with a lot of grasses already running to seed. The hot dry weather while I was away has definitely taken its toll.

It is bloody humid today. Definitely has a stormy feel.
Should see some cells popping up soon. Steering looks good too.

Yes, it is kind of muggy out here too. Not particularly hot, quite comfortable. Almost overcast.

Hickory: Don't know how you sleep with out the fan,, The misses turned ours off on Monday arvo to give it a clean and it won't go again.. Even tried spinning it up by hand but it's had it. So hot and sweaty without it going.. WE sleep with a fan all year, this one was about 10 years, will have to come down to Kans tomorrow and grab a new one can't live like this..

Interested in the longer outlook 18/3 onwards ..Could see some more good rains...

Cheers

I usually use BSCH GFS 700mb as you can zoom in to north queensland. There are probably better ones but it works for me.

Slight change of topic:

This was released today:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=67&v=EVfnhMMtKZo it details the design of the Smithy Bypass. Reckon it will withstand flooding? I noticed during the recent wet that all that area was very wet.... surely they'll lift the roads like they did at Yorkeys?

Also, on / off ramps - love it!

Its so humid outside... gah! Hoping for a storm tomorrow!

Lots of thunder about today but only managed 1.4mm. Hopefully so stormage tomorrow.
Just realised that I have only recorded 33mm of rain in the past 4 weeks and 16mm fell on one day. Amazing that it can go from such a great wet season to so dry.

Zoomed in on WZ Layers, it looked like Dimbulah and nearby surrounds got some good rain around midnight.

I was actually wondering about a month back whether we would have an early "winter" this year? as i heard a number of whip birds in the forest over a number of weeks. We don't normally get them until it starts getting cooler.

45mm here from that storm last night.
