Looks like that developing upper level low over the cs may bring some good falls later this week.

It's strange to see the WZ forecast for Proserpine is Thunderstorms for the next week, whereas Mackay, being so close, has just Showers... although has a few more mills in the gauge than Prossy.

I was texting on verandha to partner and said "Wowee, thunderstorm here atm, lightning left, right and NOT QUITE cent...." when all of a sudden there was a blinding light to my left, the metal verandha poles did a crackly hissy fit sound then the thunder exploded overhead.
Never again will I try to be precise in my reporting!
25mm here and 36mm in Mackay.
And not game to put brolly up yet and check on where it landed.

Wow! must be hammering down in town there! Mt Pleasant 104mm and McCready's Creek 101mm since 9am.

We've even had a shower out in Moranbah this morning.

I am looking at the forecast and not liking what I see, more heavy rain and humid conditions ahead for Proserpine. Would be nice to see some drier and cooler weather. Hope the forecast proves to be wrong.
