Just reading a Tech data sheet for a product I use and it has this in it:

"Consulting the weather forecast can be helpful in planning ahead."

haha, just had to chuckle.

Thanks for the giggle.

The storm missed us. Nice to watch the lightning in the tall clouds to the north. Sky was a spectacular shade of almost turquoise this evening.

Figured I'd have to remember it, one of those times a camera wouldn't do it justice.

All this is over a 5 day period. There is practically no rain for the next 5 days.
This will not happen and it had better not happen

Windy.com seems to be the most over reacting model of them all.
At any hint of a system, they colour everything pink, and sit back.

Thanks Simmo..Too far south huh...!...fancy that coming from a "Westie"... wink

Don't know if there is much point looking at it though...the latest run shows Gordonvale down from 1900 to 500mm and Mareeba from 800 down to 280mm...

So much for "Consulting the weather forecast can be helpful in planning ahead."

Its hard to disagree with Hickory's assessment that they are playing Pin the tail on the Donkey..!

Windy is not a model it just displays GFS and EC models.

Yeah Scott, it was definitely just a crazy EC run this morning. Thought it worthy of a share as EC does not usually blow out so extremely.

Hickory, look at the last line of your quote mate then look at the image I posted and look in the bottom right corner. You have to select the model. It is just like world wind map, which uses GFS I think. Or tropical tidbits just using prettier graphics.

Last couple of days have been quite muggy, with a fair amount of convective cumulus but resulting in very minimal precipitation.

Couple hunjy mm would be good to top up the tables.

What is the forecast period of those respective cumulative totals Simmo?
