Decent rain for April in my neck of the woods. Finished up with 511mm, but that did include a 200mm 24hr at the start of the month.

Fishing has been crap😢........just sayin’.

MJO forecast looking like it will be pretty good through phase 4 into phase 5 so there is good potential for a wet May. Fingers crossed. smile

17mm for April with 3 days where it rained.
If my sums are right we got 865mm year to date.

Stuff the rain. We need nice sunny weather. We've had enough rain to do us for many a month.
Tinaroo is at 101.19% and Copperlode at 101%, so all is good for quite a while.

Wow, you beat me then C@28 and that puts you 250mm above the chillagoe average. Best wet season since 2011? You have got to be happy with that!

Don't get too excited, I may have added it incorrectly. Remember last year... grin I really ought to recheck that.

I'm hopeless at adding rain measurements, manually.

The four months January to end April looks like about 682mm.
Add in the unusual rainfall for December 146mm and we get 828mm.
So the figure quoted above would've been for the whole wet season, not this year only.

I suppose your gum boots have been your footwear of choice for the last 4 or so months, Scott.

Lovely walking back from the post office late this afternoon, the "rain" was so very light and feint it was like butterfly kisses. Not enough to wet anything though.

It hasn't been wet up your way mate...?.showers and drizzle most of the day and night again down here..

No gumboots here..too sweaty and they would just get rain inside and all that mixed with foot fungus wouldn't be pretty...

Footwear here is strictly croc's until they get too slippery with mud and rain and then its bare feet...boots only used for the occasional chainsaw use...

Yeah that's just nuts simmo...they are just so random and so destructive...

My sister in law's place in the Carolina's in the USA was smashed a couple of weeks ago by one...it missed her house but destroyed her barn and levelled a portion of forest on one side of her property....she is having a tough time as the insurance company is trying to avoid paying.....how strange to have total devastation of forest and structures but less than 100m away the house survives intact..???

and what a beautiful day it was here..hopefully it might start to dry out a bit...

Saw this earlier Simmo, a perfect example of the positive and negative electrical forces that govern our atmosphere.
You can see it clearly with the separation of the colour between the two spirals. One from Earth the other from
Space.
