Just realised we were all posting in a March thread . For some reason GFS is going for 38mm in Yeppoon tomorrow, other ones saying about 1-2mm.

It's deceptively green considering the lack of rain.

Id eat my own hat if we got anywhere near what GFS says. Plus I don't have a hat so I'd have a buy one, then eat it.

About 3-4 heavy showers yesterday sun out today.

I remember last May we had an early cold snap at nights, we even got down below 10 deg I remember.

I think May this year might be warmer. We oddly seem to get stuck in these patterns of non stop SE winds.

Yet again starts of sunny then a very brief short sharp shower around midday.

Very muggy feel today felt like we'd gone back to March.

I found 5mm in the gauge since Saturday.

Going into May with minimum 4 deg above average and day temp 2 deg above.

Seems the convergence/onshore flow that gave middle Percy island 130mm last night is definitely edging south. Samuel hill on 42mm so far and showers/rain continuing to develop behind it heading towards this part of the coast. Could be a rather wet night. I might have to eat that hat just yet hehe

This feels like March when you get a week of showery weather .

It's like the rainy days have arrived very late, usually we get this sort of weather Feb or March I thnk.

Better late than never I guess?

Went out 3 weeks ago and got a clothesdryer, I rememeber 2 years ago we had 14 days in a row of cloudy /ovecast rainy weather , though it was in March.

Though in this climate I probably will hardly use the dryer as in a year you don't usually get several cloudy wet days in a row other than in summer or perhaps now in April.

Up to 71mm at Samuel Hill, 6mm Yeppoon and 4mm so far here in rocky. Currently drizzly showers, should continue overnight. If we are to get that cool, dry change Vinnie which we should it's nice to get a bit wet beforehand

Would be right on cue for the start of May, usually when the weather turns

Yeah we have guests from NZ coming in Mid May to just before the end. I guess for them the weather in Yeppoon will feel like summer even though for us it is cooler. May- September is usually the best weather , not too hot /cold not too humid.

Accuweather no idea how that site works, it says we won't see a 22 deg day until mid July and has June every day on mid 20's and May with 19 deg nights and 27-28 deg days . No way that can be right so far out .

There's a lot of rain out to sea on the 256k radar off the coast.
