178mm for Rocky this year and almost July,

Hope we get some decent rain before the end of the year to make that total go up.

Not sure what the driest years for rainfall for Rocky/Yeppoon are.

Wish this wind would go , looks like it dies off tomorrow then starts up again towards the end of the week again !

GFS think it will rain from Thursday onwards on the coast and quite a lot, been wrong so often and all we end up with is windy and cloudy.

Some models seem to be keen of a coastal rain event for CQ region later this week.

132mm on Friday GFS says and something about an upper level trough.

Sounds like something more we get in summer ?

I'm gonna be pessimistic and say 132mm turns out to be 13.2 mm and rain ends up hitting Gladstone and Wide Bay , like how many other times has it ended up going further south.

Then again this could be the big event we've been waiting months for ..

How come the rain totals they are going for with GFS are high for Yeppoon but not much for Rockhampton?

Latest forecasts are for the bulk to be south of Gladstone in the Wide Bay area.

Damn I was right, for some reason that seems to happen a lot .

I'd be happy with 25mm though.

GFS still going with big falls, OCF and ADFD also showing it but spread out over a few days.

So looks like 50-100mm before Monday next week.

Interesting for winter considering this is usually the dry time of the year.

I cannot even remember the last time we had rain like this . It feels like it has been years but it hasn't.

The models look to have pushed it mostly north of us now. Not that they need it as much, but that is what it is.

North of Rockhampton anyway.

Models have not changed for a few runs now so are adamant the bulk will fall from Marlborough north to Mackay, then a lesser amount curving inland down to Emerald.

One would expect this close they would be pretty accurate.

Start your own social media page as others have done. The are numerous pages discussing local events up and down the Qld coast. There are plenty of positives to closing down the WZ threads. Thr climate driver thread in particular is just a place for AGW agenda now. It doesn't deserve to survive.

South Brisbane Storms is an excellent page for info regarding tbe south east corner. Ken and the lads do a great job there and it hasn't been hijacked by Mr WWB or the two people that believe his garbage .

You can promote your link on the buy and sell pages in Rockhampton. It doesn't take long to get several hundred members. I have people joining all the time and it's a locked page.

As for the rain, the models are showing the best stuff just off the coast of your neck of the woods.

Are you sure?

Models are showing it will be mostly around the Mackay region, then curving inland and down. Southern oastal region of CQ expected to get SFA. As usual.

That would be because the models have updated since the time when I posted. They have progressively pushed it all north in the last few runs. Are you surprised somehow?
