Long time lurker and very infrequent poster here (someone who dreams of moving to Tassie one day).

I am sure there are many other lurkers out there that love reading Dave's posts here and everywhere else on this place.

So keep on posting :-)

Yep - Nope. DM is legend-dairy. A Tasmanian tragic - as opposed to us tragic Tasmanians. Long live the king.

When I first started posting on the forum in early 2014, this thread was nearly as quiet as the SW WA thread... Good to the see the Tas thread nice and busy all the time these days. Pretty sure we can thank a certain someone for that, and he doesn't even live in Tasmania. Orangeroughy is exactly right.

Keep posting here Dave, you've lived at the place before and might as well still live there!! That's how passionate about it you are. smile

Well done on reviving this thread mate!! smile

No I am just acting the goat Wave Rider. Only new to the thread, but hopefully will be more active in time to come once I get down there.

On another note and I am sure H2O will appreciate this as a fellow Qlder. Hobart almost topped Charters Towers for max temp today except for a late surge at 3pm we sat at 24c most of the day thanks to nice low pressure system off the coast. Got up to 28c just after 3pm because the cloud cleared for an hour or so. Humidity through the roof though.

Hi all and nice to see Tassie Dave back, what's that song ?
" Love is in the Air la la la la " " Love is in the air la la la ".
From Devonport to Dunalley To Austin's Ferry to Avoca and from Victoria Valley to Verona Sands and from Eaglehawk Neck to Evandale , which and wherever you go Tassie spells DAVE.

Also please come YEP we need you too smile I must I didn't know myself of Daves efforts to get this Tas thread back and seems these guys back way longer than I'd imagined .

Was a very warm steamy day in a hot tin shed and working at the tip face , Hobart nearly got to 24 c I think. A steamy looking sky tonight , but no chance of rain. The warmth looks like it will continue , however a few mixed messages coming through on how bad it will be . Seems the forecast has backed down on temps in the last few days. But we will wait a see and hope we don't get a Melbourne shock from a 4:20 pm forecast of 27 to the next morning 36 shocked I just wish it would rain , and am I going crazy ? I'm just telling myself I'm back in Cairns and cope with it that way.
And last of all GO THE Cowboys Sat Nite !!

The other Dave is stale fish smile

Make few of us in here go back nearly 15 years as a weird mob smile

Hey mh, one other thing re your temps there is your warm nights, you must be hoping they will settle back too. More inland places (even just where sf is) would I guess be a bit cooler. That derwent keeps you a bit warm overnight.

Morning,

Bit dull today. 15 currently, no heatwave here.

I know others are screaming for rain. However after the rain last couple of weeks here, my water shortage has become less of a concern.

I'd like just one more dry spell here to finish off the pre Autumn/Winter chores around the yard.

Days already getting noticeably shorter and cooler.

Understandable though for there:)

Hi all,

Dave getting very dry again at home with very warm day times.

Not just a hot day then cooler one, every day is and has been toasty.

It will get cold at some point.

Cheers Dave
