May nights were warm enough to break the record for May months in the 21st century, 2.3 degrees above normal. One very wet day took the May rainfall total up to the 75th percentile, well above normal.
https://climatebysurly.com/2019/06/02/may-2019-had-the-warmest-nights/

That rain did not do very much to relieve the drought
https://climatebysurly.com/2019/05/31/may-2019-rain-gives-some-relief/
To make up for the deficit of 408 mm in the 15-month rainfall total requires not just on-going normal rainfall, but an extra eight months of normal rainfall added on top of that.

For the last 12 months, I have been updating my drought graphs in the thread: Weatherzone>>Forums>>Weather Events>>NSW/ACT>>NSW rainfall shortage from May 2018.
http://forum.weatherzone.com.au/ubbthreads.php/topics/1465682/3/NSW_rainfall_shortage_from_May

I have also updated to May my parametric plots of seven smoothed anomalies of climate variables.
https://climatebysurly.com/2019/05/31/3-year-trends-to-may-2019/
Smoothed values are always six months behind. By November 2018 the minimum temperature anomaly and rainfall anomaly had both broken 20th-century records, one positive and one negative.

Autumn at Manilla was rather ho-hum. From my report:
"As in 2018 and 2016, autumn was very warm. Although autumn 2016 had the highest mean temperature of the new century, this autumn had the warmest nights: 12.7.
Despite the on-going drought, measures of moisture were near normal for the season. Cloudy days reached 37%, the daily temperature range (14.3) was quite narrow, and the early morning dew point (7.2) not low. The rainfall total, 117 mm (est.), was at the median value, not far below the mean of 134 mm."
