Hi all,

A couple of rain chances this week, initially focussing on western and ranges areas and maybe some showery chances in sthern areas as the weather turns cooler later in the week.

The big wet Wednesday seems to have backed off a little on the 12z run but along with tonight and tomorrow am rain chance and the follow up showers looks a good week.

Thanks Ruckle, this system looks handy for Vic's Nth Central cropping regions smile

For Nth Gippsland, another 5mm to add to last weeks 24mm would be nice.

Great rains for our gardens, cropping farmers and market gardeners up here 8.8mm so far and still coming down with the occasional thunder and lightning for good measure.

9.0mm here looks to be over for this round though we might locally get a little more from some mizzle.

Warm night, only below 10 degrees in the last hour or so. Still a reasonable rain coming Wednesday at this stage.

Should be pretty windy by this evening. Expecting a mildish night. Hopeful of giving 20mm a shake tomorrow and then cooler with a few showers in the days following.

BOM - "Severe Weather Warning
for DAMAGING WINDS and HEAVY RAINFALL"

Included West & South Gippsland, most of which isn't forecast to get much rain at all.

EC doesn't have Sale (on Wed.) as wet with 2.8mm, BOM forecast is 0 to 5 mm and GFS about 5mm in the next 8 days with light winds.

Apart Northern Mallee and east of Traralgon, VIC looks to get more very useful followup rain. smile

The front is still 1,600KM away between WA/SA and the trough looking thickening up from West of Alice spring to Victoria.

Happy to miss out here so those in the W, NW, NC, NE, can score and enjoy a real solid widespread soaker VERY much needed for those parts

Rain blowing up in SA right on cue, wet morning and day for much of Vic great event

But yeah if the upper trough was amplifyig and not falling over WOW at the rain we could of had with this.

REGARDLESS still a big widespread rain event for Vic with possiblely a months worth of rain falling in 6 hours in parts of W and NW Vic which will be UNREAL for crops in the ground

Great 24 hours for many enjoy

Very heavy rain and very large on Radar big bucket make Farmers easy seeding and muddy surface. Hope don't melt the snow too much on mountains as can see Mt Hotham on Webcam is melting.

8.5mm today here at home, 3mm of which has just fallen in the line of heavy showers that just moved through.

Caught in the rain shadow most of the day, what did fall was only patchy light rain at best.
