It hasn't actually been that sunny... We had days on end overcast. No sign of rain, just overcast. Made it comfortable though, kept the humidity higher. The grass is brown but hasn't disintegrated yet. No bad dust yet.

Temp 12.2 at 6.30am.

Currently in Cairns, and cold.

I'm afraid to whine about the cold in case the drizzle comes back...

Ha, Scott, my staffy and I stayed under cover until ten, although I always get up around four but was driven back by icy feet by eight.

I could take a little rain...

Whats the temp getting down to up there Dormant..surely this arctic air isn't making it right up there...?

We went out in the Tinny ..the missus complained it was a bit nippy when the spray was blowing over the side and wetting her...

Down to 8c at Innisfail Aero yesterday morning..

Back to more civil temps this morning with the staffy approval rating much higher...though we have had a few showers already.

Not even that cold here in the outback where temps are supposed to get the coldest.

11.9 degrees on my back deck at 10 to 7 this morning. Will check with others later today.

Darwin got down to 12.7° last night, so the cold air must have travelled up through the red centre. Alice Springs got below zero.
The Darwinites would have been whinging big time about it. grin

Yikes, that's cool for Darwin.

Remember camping out at Adelaide River once upon a time and woke up to 9 degrees.

11 degrees here this morning. Bit nippy tonight. Have the merino jumper and uggs on.

Scott, wasn't so bad inside for doggie and me, but partner sleeps on the deck outside this room... brrrr. But with two feather/down quilts he seems ok down to 17 out there with heavy drapes around.

And now it's drizzling, I can live with that for awhile, will take the opportunity to park the car outside then wash it, pretty dusty right now with unsealed roads.

Finally removed the chicken wire fencing round the atrium flower beds, sheesh, she took two years to learn to behave. Now serious weeding there and roaming the place on the catcher mower for weed free grass lawns long enough to cut for mulch as it's slowed down a lot in this chill.

Lol at all the cold staffy’s - we have one to! Actually bought him a dog coat for nighttime, we were getting terrible sleep with him wriggling round all night trying to get warm. Sleeps like a baby with his pjs on. What a sook!

Ha, birdie, you too? How on earth does yours keep pj's on?

Not much drizzle, or anything, perhaps tomorrow. Windy though.

Overcast and cool.
Don't remember having this much continual cloud at this time of year.

Drizzle here this morning already..but warm at least.

I'm off to Brownsville for the day so I'm sure to see some sun..

Obviously Dormant you must not be so great at choosing cool staffy attire for the little princess..!

Each evening my little girl sits dutifully at attention and puts one paw in the air at a time to go through the arm holes and then she proudly tears off around the other 2 scrub mutts to show just how fancy she really is...

She would wear her cool "Bad to the bone" jacket all day as well if I let her..

I went for a walk along the beach a couple of hours ago, and just about got sand blasted.
The wind gusts are strong enough to blow jesus off the cross.

7mm up here this morning and more drizzle frown
Got wet and cold yesterday on the tractor when this arrived, don't need or want it, just like things to dry out and give us a bit of that FNQ post card sort of stuff for a week or 2.

Cheers

No rain, but hard to believe the amount of cloudy weather we've had over the last few months.
