Just thought we'd try a thread with no topic. So how are you all doing today?

Anyhow, it means getting a few days off nightshift, so if i can keep awake in class it will be all god!!
Beautiful morning here, clear and cool, but not cold enough for a frost!!

I was wondering how long it would be before we started nudging 20 degrees. Certainly not uncommon to hit 20 degrees in late august around this area. Thats about the time the storm season starts!!!

Looks like it's already started on the east coast. Grrr mad It looked so promising here yesterday, but alas, there were no other contributing factors to induce a storm. frown

Cheers, Helen

Great topic Mark - the off-topic topic! Does this mean if we stay on the topic of 'chit chat' we'll be booted off for NOT going off topic? laugh

I bought a terrorist hostage video from a bewildered George Dubya who was waiting 7 minutes before Howard lied about children overboard with hurricane Charlie in Athens claiming God doesn't exist among a sea of fascists tying the knot with their gay lovers. I think that covers it.

The cause of a lot of threads going off topic is due to personal bickering. Maybe we could have a 'personal attack' thread? Or a 'break the guidelines' thread? You ****** ********s! wink

Marty.

Hi all,

Lovely to see the rain, was playing in the creek and all the big puddles last night...

W'nut and Volkl,

I'm thinking of moving down your way (Eastern Riverina) lat next year to do an internship with one fo the councils down there. Looking mainly at Tumut and Gundagai though. What's it like down there?

 Will

I would move to Tumut as your close to the snow(Sometimes it can snow in Tumut).. Gundagai is a nice small town but Tumut has a lot more IMO..

Hi everyone, great thread! The OH&S stuff higher up reminded me of what I did yesterday. I spent the day driving cars around and skidding them! I went to advanced driver training through work as an OH&S initiative and had a lot of fun. The guys made us drive at speed in the rain and brake heavily first with the ABS disabled and then with the ABS on. There is such a big difference in skidding and sliding all over the road to complete control! We had so much fun getting our confidence up using ABS (I got up to 100km/h) and slamming the brakes on as hard as we could (don't do this in a non-ABS car). Anyway, thats what I have been doing.... Have a good day! PS, I have been watching a koala in the tree just outside the office window for the last hour and I can hear thunder from a very dark cloud just off the coast (yes, I have an ocean view out of my office window!)

Was doing plenty of that in the forklift early this morning at work.. with all this rain and localised storms.

Nightshift.. ppft

*edit* Reminds me.. defensive (or offensive, if youve ever chased with me) driving refresher course is almost upon me..
