Apparently it's even a shark attack now if the shark is just fighting back.

That's one of the best bits of footage that I have ever seen!!

Proof humans and sharks can swim together.

Awesome. The cracked open jaw is supposed to be a territorial or pecking order threat. Clearly they are not the kill at every opportunity monsters that the media love to display them as .

I wouldn't need to be eaten. I would just die of fright.

Geez purnong , that shark wasn't messing around. Whites often just make an enquiry which is no more than a nudge or a nibble , hence people often survive that , but that bull wasn't enquiring about anything.

Really refreshing attitude from the father. His seatbelt analogy is spot on too. Cracker of a photo and makes you wonder how often these apex predators quietly pass us by undisturbed

It's a shame some other surfers cannot adopt this attitude to these fantastic creatures. Awesome photo.

Have a look at this ridiculous, sensationalistic report. Perfect demonstration of how the media can manipulate a "story". I don't want to be too political in this thread however examples like this add starch to Donald's "Fake News" claims

Unbelievable, See what you mean with reporting like this
Laughable really

"THIS is the horrifying moment a young Aussie surfer dodged death off the coast of a popular NSW beach."

"A closer look shows the man-eater flashing a grotesque grin just beneath the water’s surface."

I cheated death. Recently in Hawaii when a turtle launched itself at me full death attack mode.I was rushed to medical help and treated for non life threatening injuries and made a full recovery.
Truth is a turtle brushed my leg in the surf , then I went to dukes bar and had a few mai thais and said to wifey , how cool seeing a big turtle up close.
Maybe I should be a journo like these clowns, it's not hard.

Gotta love the media. The chances of this being a Great White in Summer off Hinchenbrook Island are slim at best but let's run with that generic photo anyway.

"multiple bites to just one leg" . Hmmm. Better get a smaller boat.
