Hi Shane

Which Caves Beach? The Hunter region or the South Coast? Either way, I'm not sure of any definitive surf reports for any of the above, but if it's the Hunter region try here for an overview of the area.

However it's looking like there'll be plenty of surf this weekend right along the East Coast - I have updated the NSW forecasts this afternoon at Swellnet . I don't think there'll be a lack of surf at either spot.

Cheers, Ben

Hello Towering Cbs.

Because you live in Gosford,im assuming you're going to Caves Beach on the Central Coast.I'll post some info about Caves Beach on the south coast just in case you're going there.

Caves beach works on south swells with N/NE winds. It usually has good banks, but there is a much better break closeby called Aussie Pipe.Pipe,is one of the best breaks on the south coast and works in the same conditons as Caves Beach.Pipe can hold 4metres,while Caves tends to closeout over 2metres.It just depends on the sandbanks. There will be plenty of swell about this weekend, probrably too much for Caves Beach. We'll probrably have SW-SE winds for much of Saturday, making Caves Beach very ugly.Sunday looks perfect with NW-NE winds predicted with heaps of residual south swell left.
