Does anyone have any data, even anecdotal, of the wind strength during last weekend's southerly change?
I was off Wollongong when the change came through and it seemed to be around 50kmh..gusting higher. thanks!

The archives for Belambi Pt show that the wind speeds were 56km/hr, gusting to 78km/hr around 1pm.

Yes, that fits the description of a southerly buster quite well. I recall that there were some pretty nice thunderstorms as the change pushed through.
