G'day BR_17,
I've been surfing since 1958 and I reckon I've seen about a half a dozen Noah's...big whites I've been in the water twice and got out quick smart...seen heaps of bronzies but they don't seem to be much of a bother...not to me anyway smile

i thought the noise from them innitilly attracts sharks because there curious but when close they cant stand it but it may not be good for people around you without one

ye..and it only stops the sharks when they r in a passive mode..not an agressive mode - also it has a tendancy to bounce off the rocks and give you a light shock..also only 4 hours of battery!

they sound like a waste of money to me.
If a shark want to eat you it will and nothing will stop that

that exactly what ive been trying to tell dad..hes been diving for 30 years and has never worried bout white pointers til now..Ive seen them from the shore when he's been diving before and if the shark wants you its going to take you..why spends hundreds of dollars on a thing thats gonna shock you every 3 seconds

Seen 2 great whites in my time, of course first reaction is massive adrenalin but thankfully they were not interested in me (and most arent!)

Will hit the waves just before I hit the books b4 exams. Had some good rides over past month when Ive gone out EARLY but that aside, I havent found the time during the day. I need to move south, takes 1/1/4hrs to get to the mid from where I live..sheesh.

TS cool

Got up at 6 today and got down south at 8 to find it was lumpy and gutless frown I went in hoping the winds would shift north east and clean up the crappy uncatchable double waves but it lingered slightly onshore all day but I was in there for 6hrs in total today and still got some nice rides so I was kept happy laugh
