I havent been out for a long time (2weeks) but ill be down neat the water within a week, now enrolment day is over for Uni. Standing in the que for 2.5 hours drove me mad.

Surf is moderate today, going by the a website around about 3ft ranging to 4ft near Waits and Parsons. Metro around Glenelg is piss only a few inches!

We are onto the third page now. laugh

We'll,I hate to gloat, but I just had another surf today.Unfortunatly, the wind wasnt perfect, blowing lightly side-shore.Still,there were some nice 2 metre sets coming through.

It has been wet on most of the NSW coast today.Suprisingly while I was surfing, there was full sun-shine,and it was quite warm. There were barely any clouds in the sky,but now it has returned to drizzle.

The swell,is forcast to hang around a little longer.Tomorrow morning,is expected to be 2-3metres.It should decrease to 2 metres late Saturday, and continue at that size on Sunday. It may pick up to 2-3 metres on Monday, with a SE change.

I had better make the most of this swell, and get out there on the week-end. :p

Sounds like another fantastic weekend around the SE corner, light winds today here, would have made for excellent surfing conditions with waves up to 3-4ft at times along the surf coast-east coast in general.

On the East coast of NSW, well thats a different story, heavy 2-3m swells forecast for the next few days, and plenty of follow through should allow for perfect conditions next week.

Should be a repeat of last week in NSW where the waves really fired up. However, I would think that these waves will be quite messy as the low is reasonably near the coast.

Surf is average here again today with the usual 4ft down on the south Coast and odd mm near the metro foreshore.

Odd mm near the metro, sounds like Port Phillip Bay ATM, laugh

Should see some less structured waves later tomorrow with the wind becoming a factor, gusting to 35 knots near the coasts at times.

Tomorrow down on the SA South Coast should be good with a 7ft break proged for Waits and Parson's. Middleton shouls not be attempted as it sucks ina strong southerly, the waves become very messy and deadly rips drown anyone. A norterly is the best for Middleton allowing the waves to stand up nicely and remain consistent for up to 1km.

Just curious if this is the same South Coast Lennie...1km waves? Wow - I have been missing out somewhere!
And deadly rips at Middleton, I'm sure that's stretching it a bit!

Good to see your enthusiasm though smile

Not bad down in VIC today, a lighter onshore winds earlier on behind the ferocious trough allowed some excellent conditions across generally the east coast. Some solid swell did also develop around the Wilsons Prom region and the Portsea regions also, mainly on the incoming tides.

Some good swell coming in from the west according to the Pacific and Southern Ocean swell maps.
Looks like a good week on the southern half of Australia.

The surf isnt particulary great today. Its back to a very small 1-2FT,but there is some hope for some swell later on this week. Its currently 16Degrees at around mid-day,and its still bucketing down with rain. Its not my recipe for a surf.

You could go for a surf in the streets the way its going soon. Sounds like the wind is severly onshore and all the swell must be windchopped.

Still if its not surf conditions, I am sure the weather will keep you going until its good again.

Down south here the surf is relativley low at 3ft and a crosshore easterly, gusting to 25 knots at times along the coasts.

Maybe the weekend...heres hoping.

Br what I mean about the 1km and this can happen on a northerly ive seen it myself is that the swell length parallel to the beach remains in one neat line and does not get broken up by a messy onshore wind.

As for the rips well yeah I exaggerated that one but they are out there and on a bad day in winter, all hell can break loose.

Looks like a pretty ordinary weekend, Sunday is looking best if your desperate in VIC, the SE'ly should be in to play, rather quite gusty at times.

I think I might wait til next weekend.

Whats it like elsewhere around the country, NSW would have extra swell from the easterlies.

We have swell thats for sure. Its probrably reaching 2 metres on the sets, but its so bumpy. Its probrably not ridable, and it would be very dangerous.Size at sea is 2-4metres with a 7 second interval. The winds are easterly today, but they are extected to swing more around to the north by the weekend.

Maybe just maybe,we might get some sort of a wave in those protected northern corners during the next few days.I dont think it will be that good though,so I will leave it to the desperados.

Actually I am quite picky.I only go out when it looks good, and this weekend looks far from good. laugh
The desperados can have it to them-selves.
I noticed on the Sydney cams today, that one guy went out in the onshore mush today. The water was green from all the rain.Talk about desperate. laugh

No he was just trying to look for a way to get out of work, your asking for stomach ailments there.

Anyway, I am the same, if its too mushy and really non-strucutred then I won't go out.

I am a clean surfer, not a maniac.

The surf up here is better today. It was about Head-High,and it cleaned up dramatically.I hope I can get a wave tomorrow or on the weekend.

On the gold coast today,it was double head on the sets.
