The Technical Weather forum? It was probably the most informative and actually useful forums on this board and it has vanished? Sure it wasn't posted in often, but I often read it!

Where do we now post technical questions? I was trying to find the response written to a Skew T question I posted a while ago, but it appears all the threads have gone too? PLEASE tell me this is not true frown

Ok sorry probably should be in this forum, but why didn't whoever moved it also answer the question? Are those highly informative threads coming back?

The topics covered by the Technical Discussion forum have been split between the Briefing Room and General Weather. The formation of the Briefing room took a few topics away from the Tech discussion forum leaving little reason for the tech discussion forum to exist on it's own.

Yes, it wasn't posted in very often and there was almost no posting in that forum of the type that was intended when that forum was started.

Almost all the threads were moved into General weather. That's where your question will be.

Hmmm I did a search for it, but could not find it? I'll look again.

What was the thread titled? When did you post it? What does Cb@SZ mean?

I've also just realised that the "search" function may not pick up your thread because I have not reindexed the search since moving all those threads across.

http://www.weatherzone.com.au/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=005738;p=1#000003 Didn't show up in the search, but did show up in my "participated" threads list ... hmmm odd, oh well, found it smile

Real shame the Tech weather forum went- now I have to wade through the piles of tripe posts in general weather to read something informative frown

Why doesn't a simple "Question and Answer" forum exist, that is basically what the tech forum was, and it was very useful!

I saw that thread but could see any unanswered questions so skipped by it. Sorry.

Leave that idea regarding a Q & A thread with me. Maybe we can squeeze it in somewhere where it won't get flooded.
