Another couple to try. These are both hosted by NTT as well:
www.salvationarmy.org.au
www.acer.com.au

The Salvos site worked fine as did the nttaus site. The Acer site was slow ... but not in the same way that WZ is. The Acer site was responsive and any clicked links reacted immediately ... it just took a while for the pages to fully load ... typical of heavy bandwidth usage.

A lot of the time the WZ problem exhibits typical symptoms of a nameserver issue ... either the WZ domain can't be resolved or it takes ages to resolve.

yep andy, my browser will sit there for over 2.5 minutes in "sending request" or "request queued" mode, this page took 2m43s to load completely. seems to be worse when i have multiple pages to the site trying to open at the same time...

also have the same problem with the self reloading pages like the Lightning Tracker..

Yep - have same issues. No probs connecting. It's just the wait time for the server to repsond.

As for Telstra - no issues here whatsoever. On a 512kb ADSL and it flys for everything else except Weatherzone.

I told Andrew to remove that delay on Paul Mossmans account way back on April 1.

As with most problems of this nature it's pretty mysterious. Normally the first step with any problem is to try and replicate it but unfortunately I can't. I've had a machine dialled out all day on both my Ozemail account and Carthur's Bogpond account and there's barely been a hitch.

I'm almost certain that the problem is external to the web server itself (i.e. it's a comm's problem somewhere) as otherwise the problems would be experienced by all users. We'll continue to investigate as ideas come to mind.

I have experienced slow loading over the last 2weeks both at home on cable and at work on ADSL.

But as mentioned there are no problems today so far.

So have I Starwood. Unwired 10Mbps at home, and Hotkey ADSL at the Bowling Club.

Anyone having issues today? It seems OK from here but traffic is going through the roof so I'd thought I'd ask.
