If I look up Local Weather for Narooma,I get
the following info:

Observations for Montague Island & Forecast
for Bega.
Likewise local weather for Batemans Bay is:
Observations for Moruya & Forecast for Batemans
Bay.
Now Montague Island often has different temperat-
ures & winds to that of Narooma & Bega is quite
away inland & conditions are alot different to
the coast.
The same goes for Bateman's Bay & Moruya.
Are there any plans to change these so they
morem accurately reflect what is happening in
each of the four areas?

Roger,

The local weather page simply works out which forecast/observations to show by calculating the closest stations for which these are available, by distance. It is an automated process and there are no plans to change it.

The best way to customise Weatherzone for your location is to pick out your favourite pages for your desired locations and add links to the 'Your Links' column. This way everything always one click away.

Andrew.

Dear Andrew,

It still doesn't alter tha fact that when I look
up "Roger's Weather" for Narooma I get a forecast
for Bega which is approximately 74kms from where
I live and is inland,so is definately not my local weather. It might as well not be on the
system.
It should be tied in with manual stations as well
as AWS.

Roger

The reason the observations shown on 'your weather' are automatic only is so that all users get up-to-date observations (to the hour) rather than some getting up to 24 hour old observations or constantly changing locations.

I am in the same position as you as there is a synoptic station here at Taralga but no forecast or metars. My local weather page defaults to Goulburn which I wasn't that interested in so I simply changed my postcode to that of Orange whos forecast often better reflects what can be expected here (albeit moreso with Winter systems than Summer).

Andrew.
