I may indeed have done so TS wink - but that was a photo of me when I was still young and hairy (about 40 years ago).
"athletic" - crikey - if only :nerd:
Folks, I am but an aging withered peasant, the petals long ago fallen from the flower, bowed over, drooling, drooping, held together by bindertwine, various leaks plugged with chewing gum, false teeth chattering incessantly, a little flock of clothes moths circling round my hat

Good to see there are still considerable differences in the three main models for Friday to Tuesday - they clearly don't quite know what to make of it yet smile

yer, actually doesn't look too bad at all tek
good temps, low level moisture and timing but
what's really good on this one is the 850/700
shear with the 850 being loaded with some decent
moisture. forecast sounding is marginal but it's
there.
having said that the forecast sounding for far
western vic for friday is nuts, have to keep
an eye on that, could be worth a skirmish over
the border.

Holy faeces TH never wish that on anybody..... but .... well .... its hard to tell hey? And who could forget Tornadosky heh? wink hhhmmm

B-l-o-o-d-y beautiful 10 degree morning with moderate dew. Hot coffee outside soaking up the damp morning smells looking across the vivid green bejewelled paddocks is perfect. smile Sky is cool too with some fantastic cirrus/cirrostratus swirls. Need Chris's cloud visions. Did snap a pic or 2. However work beckons and I must be gone.
I have a tough life - not wink

Pretty warm already outside here.

Went to Rapid Bay afterwork yesterday to only come inches away from hitting a roo the other side of second valley! and it wasn't even close to dusk!! ha ha. oh well - it is probably one of the areas in SA where they're at their thickest. Bloody beautiful evening it was up there. no wind at all until the sunset then the roaring E'erly came through.

Back in Unley this morning and it is quite warm already! going to be a nice couple of days ahead!

Ever thought of trying to write some poetry or even short stories, Tim?
Seriously, you might be very good at it.

While on a global tour party in the early 1990's I met a mid aged farmer from Nundroo on the Eyre Highway in SA's far west.
He owned the last farm on the way to WA which his son now runs.
Alan tried a bit of off the cuff poetry on us and to his and our total surprise, he turned out to be a darn good bush poet.

Try it! You have a poetic turn of phrase and might just surprise yourself!

I never really get a chance to look while I'm driving down Flagstaff Road, but everything has browned off so fast! There was a 6 car pile up this morning just before the intersection with South Road, and so the traffic was backed up all the way back to the roundabout at the intersection with Black Road (for those that don't know the area, that is a LONG way!) and so while we weren't moving, I snapped this pic:

Quite depressing how fast it happened, hey!

And by the way, I just thought I would ask what the likelihood of storms this afternoon would be? It is quite a steamy 28 degrees here, feels like a summer afternoon in Sydney, and we have this rapidly building up right over us:

An hour ago, we had clear blue skies!! I reckon if there is much more development in the next half an hour or so, I will definately be taking my camera with me to uni!!

Yes its a tad more humid than normal I'd have to say... Worked up a sweat hanging the washing up lol... :p

Some nice clouds about indeed, but doubt it will amount to anything at all.
There's a little bit of moisture infeeding from the NE that is bringing DP's up and a bit of Cu development.
Aviation has SCT CU 6000/10000 OVER AND E OF MT LOFTY RANGES.

Tomorrow should be a very similar day with DP's in the 10-12C mark, 12-16 in the SE where it looks a possibility of storms and maybe along the border with VIC.
Friday a chance pretty much anywhere east of the ranges maybe...

Yer some semi-interesting CU buildup which Dean took a good picture of. Today is just perfect, 26 degrees, light Easterly, the crickets are starting to chirp at night, this is what late spring is about. At least Hay fever has gone away now, so we can enjoy the weather more. laugh

Ok, I couldn't get it to load of youtube or photobucket this afternoon so I've had to load it on facebook. It's a 6min time lapse at 60X of upper level cloud and mid level convection around noon today.

jeeze PM, you seriously need to start using the
toilet instead of the back yard. i can even smell
it from here......or is that me.

fine and partly cloudy here, plenty of middle
level cloud this morning tapering to high this
arvo with CuHu just starting to form around
the place in the last hour. there's a little
bit of humididity in the air but not particularly
noticable at these temps.

Doesn't look like we will get anything now, but for a little while there it was looking like it could have got a bit interesting later on. Still, I enjoy watching as the clouds build up, even if they don't deliver smile

Nice clip Chris with the cirrus moving one way and the lower level stuff the other.

Yeah Deano I started getting a little excited around lunchtime here with the convection build up. Maybe theres still a chance of fluking something over the next couple of days. wink

Yea had some CU development here today aswell with it flattening out now and also quite warm. Looks interesting in the next couple days not that it will amount to much but something to look at anyway.

There's a line of about 3 or 4 accas just to the north of here that are starting to garner a bit of beef to themselves.

Roves I reckon you might score something in the early hours of Friday with some higher based stuff, and again possibly Fri arvo with surface convection.

Had one cloud over Andrews farm that looked like it was leaking but it never got hear so i can't back up that observation. Bottom line it had the right streaky appearance but even if it was rain, it wasn't enough to wet the ground. So hears to something more threatening tommorow arvo smile
I have to admit it's really nice outside in the garden with that cooler south easterly blowing.
