Nice images there.
If you did this in Australia you probably would have been arrested or interrogated for taking photos of aircraft near our airport.
If you take pictures in this country of airports or factories you are a suspected terrorist. laugh

:cheers?

Great images there, espescially the old Lufthansa bird, that thing still airworthy? laugh

Ive posted these 2 in another topic but they may very well go into here also, have to get out to NZAA (Auckland Int.) in the near future, we have an amazing array of craft passing through day & night.

Like the Emirates A380 below, wifey was having lunch there at the lookout when that monster came in.

last week townsville media was invited up in a RAAF caribou to celebrate the aircrafts retirement, and also a lead up to todays skyshow.
they strapped us to the back and then opened the rear cargo doors to shoot another caribou trailing right behind us in formation, was a great experience.

Caribou Wide
Caribou Close Up
Myself and WIN cameraman with our harnesses on
Shooting with rear cargo doors open
Cabin wide looking back
Our view from the rear doors looking outside
Caribou over city
Caribou side view
Over the strand
Landing at Garbutt, runway 01, rear doors open and trailing aircraft behind us on approach

Just for future spotting reference, the new section of Airport Drive has been opened, and it basically takes you right up to Dryandra road, with a left turn and about 500m before turning right into Acacia street to the viewing area!

Congestion back on Airport Drive has been vastly reduced as well - Well done to BAC for footing the bill!

Went spotting at YSSY yesterday with Partner and kids in tow, she was a good sport looking after the kids and joining me on the beach while I did my Aviation nut thing as you do, the air was thick with the smell of Jet A1 and I was a happy camper!

Heres some of the lineup:

Air Austral (UU) Boeing 777-300ER

Qantas (QF) Boeing 767-300ER

Qantas (QF) Boeing 747-400 VH-OJQ

And caught by surprise whilst putting the kids into the car so apologies if the pic is not the best but I had to run to a spot to get this pic.

Emirates (EK) Airbus A380

Nice photos SkylineFFM.

The day I was in Frankfurt, it was great. However, I did fry like a schnitzel out on the observation deck.

Next time I travel to the UK, I will do another daytrip to Frankfurt.

Sydney and Auckland are also great airports, haven't been to Brisbane yet.

We don't get many exotic heavies here in Adelaide, but the last six months has seen a good supply of bizjets.

Cockpit of the Pilatus PC-9 Roulette - I was lucky enough to start talking to one of the pilots when the crowds had left (I was volunteering on one of the gates to let aircraft in and out so I was about 4m from the runway)

Gday All,

Lismore was treated to an exhibition of Warbirds on Anzac Day. Went out to the Aerodrome to check out these impressive machines.

T-28 Trojan

The sound of this beast sent shivers down my spine......couldn't imagine what a squadron of them would sound like!

Yak 52

And this was a special treat.....an L-39 Albatross. Although this was only used as a training aircraft it still was impressive to hear the whine of the jet engines only 20m away. Unfortunately it didn't take off while we were watching but were lucky enough to arrive just in time for it to land. They were offering joyflights in this weapon at $1600 for about 10-15mins of flight time......not surprising it didn't take off in the hour we were there.

Hope you enjoy

Cheers Jason
