Well its certainly peaceful in the wee hours Paul. No honking car horns or lawnmowers buzzing. Speaking of which, there will be a few people itching to get their mowers out before the next rain proper next week. laugh
You did alright rainfall wise. About four times what we got! eek

It was an absolute ripper wasn't it RV! I took off this morning directly into an almost pure red sky. The smooth undersided Alto-cu certainly helped! Don't see that every morning.

Some nice virga around in last hour....

Sarah - what creek is that? You might find some of that water has actually been let out of the Little Para Reservoir as per this article... http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0,22606,25792878-5006301,00.html

That would be the Little Para River at Gawler Street, Salisbury. Salisbury Highway in is in the background. That's my guess as to where it is, anyway. wink

Teckert, the river where I took the photo runs through pitman park, so it's def the little para river, so yes I reckon that's what's happened. Thanks for the article smile

Spell_check: You are correct also smile
Also some clouds are moving in, must be the next system as Aztech pointed out..

I thought so. smile The two bridges and the path on the left gave me the clues.

RV, that is a stunning pic; I think the Mallee seems to give the most vivid red sunrises/sets in the State. Possibly Australia!

I've had a look at the highest rainfall tallies in SA for the past week and according to report from BOM, Inman Valley is at the top with 138mm. Only three places Australia wide beat that - Mole Creek (159), Yolla (155) and Preolenna (154). All are in Northern Tasmania.
