the BOM must be seriously under staffed? i checked the weekly tropical climate note at 7 am thursday morning and it still had not been updated (it is normally updated every Tuesday) i checked it again an hour later and it had been updated, the funny thing about that is that the date on it had been backdated to "Tuesday" the 13th......but Tuesday was actually the 14th!

'The chance of showers' is BOM's new favourite phrase. It's been on the MNC forecast for the past three days, it's the forecast for tonight, and the next four days.

R.I.P. "isolated showers" wink

Nice sight there PV Weather. It should mean scattered showers, then becoming isolated or other way around.

Yikes, someone at BOM has hit the wrong button when doing April 5th's minimums in this afternoon's town forecast (issued at 4:15pm). Hopefully it gets picked up before Syd's evening news weather.

The temp forecast for Thursday April 5th:

Coffs Harbour 0 / 26
Port Macquarie 0 / 26
Sydney 1 / 25
Newcastle 1 / 24
Armidale -4 / 21
Broken Hill -1 / 32
Dubbo -2 / 28
Tamworth -2 / 29
Tweed Heads 2 / 27
Canberra -4 / 23

It's clearly a mistake, most minimums are 15-19 degrees colder than the night before.

EDIT: BOM fixed the mistake at 4:40pm. smile
