the BOM must be seriously under staffed? i checked the weekly tropical climate note at 7 am thursday morning and it still had not been updated (it is normally updated every Tuesday) i checked it again an hour later and it had been updated, the funny thing about that is that the date on it had been backdated to "Tuesday" the 13th......but Tuesday was actually the 14th!

Synoptic Situation
At 10:00 pm EST Tropical Low was located within 60 nautical miles of
latitude sixteen decimal eight degrees South (16.8 S)
longitude one hundred and forty one decimal five degrees East (141.5 E)
about 60 nautical miles north northeast of Normanton
and 135 nautical miles east of Mornington Island
with central pressure 991 hectopascals moving northwest at 1 knot.

Okay this is not a BoM thing but it is ABC (and I hope like hell nobody knows these people... apologies in advance).
The newsreader last night said a light plane was missing.
"There were two people on board including the pilot."
Mission Control and I nearly choked on our Jambalaya and wild rice.

Yikes, someone at BOM has hit the wrong button when doing April 5th's minimums in this afternoon's town forecast (issued at 4:15pm). Hopefully it gets picked up before Syd's evening news weather.

A slow moving low pressure trough off NSW coast and an upper cold pool are
expected to bring locally heavy rain to most of NSW coast tonight and on
Wednesday.

expected to bring locally heavy rain to the northern half of the coast today.

DAMAGING WINDS with peak gusts around 90 km/h are forecast for the coastal
parts of Metropolitan forecast district during next 1-2 hours associated with
outflow from heavy showers and possible water sprouts crossing the coast.

Rain and thunderstorms which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is forecast for the Mid
North Coast, Lower Hunter and Metropolitan forecast districts.

Conditions are expected to extend to Illawarra by Wednesday morning and to the
South Coast Wednesday afternoon or evening.

Since 9 am Tuesday Nelson Bay received 90 mm.

Just updated the warning and Still oblivious to their mistake lol unless there really are water sprouts crossing the coast . If they are anything like the others in the sprout family they are nasty!! Most likely just a spell check error but still funny
