We should see a SWW for damaging winds go out within the next 24hrs for far south western areas of WA (Mainly Coastal) in association with an approaching deepening low pressure system and coldfront. EC is going for max wind gusts around 100km/h to develop briefly around lunch time tomorrow. Definitely nothing as destructive as the last 2 systems to visit WA but still sufficient for a SWW.

Been keeping a eye on this low and hoping it would move a bit closer to the coast. A nice bit of rain to finish the month with close to average falls would be nice.

Looking like some nice little cells coming in over Rottnest island and towards the north. Will be interesting to see who gets smashed in the next few hours. Think that low may be a little more south than the bom think ???

Rain at last for south west coast. Has been steady all morning and is much needed after a very "dry July"
Looks like a good few days of rain to come with at least 3 fronts to cross the south west coast in the next week.
To late now to catch up on the average winter rain however. just as well that new decelenation plant is about to crank up.

Should see a SWW for Damaging winds go out this morning for most of the SW corner this afternoon and tonight extending eastwards during Wednesday. Models are forecasting wind gusts in the 90-100km/h potentially stronger in association with the approaching coldfront / low pressure system. These damaging winds are forecast to progress eastwards with the coldfront to affect all southern coastal districts of WA by Wednesday afternoon.

I can report (2nd hand) a pretty reasonable amount of hail (quantity not size wise) from just south of Mandurah on the coast in the early afternoon. Not surprising I guess with a cold pool like that on the satellite images.
