Ray,

The subject is supposed to be WEATHER.
The time period is for SUMMER 2003/2004 !

Wrong subject, wrong time, wrong place posting pictures of rainforest from 1991 here.

Lovely pix of flowers and trees don't belong here. There are other forums for that. Ray, you could check out 'Wetcanvas' forum if you'd like to post photos of diverse 'off topic' things to here and get feedback. Just trying suggest an 'appropriate' place. It's hot and I'm grumpy - sorry Ray. But I'll simply stop posting photos here if others clog up the thread with pictures of their new car or whatever.

Well a warm one for us today. Cracked 34 for us in the hills and 40 degrees for the plains. Temp has just dropped more than 10 degrees in less than 2 hours giving us perfect conditions for a cold beverage outside. This is the view presented me as the drink went down....Twin jet contrails in the sunset.
Cheers,
Tim laugh

I must agree with that comment about the great sunset David. Here are a few I took from the shire office hill here in Pakenham. Not as good as yours David but not bad for me. Would post more but I might get in trouble

Nice shots people, when I was out there I was wondering if you two were doing the same! I also captured some mammatus today, it's in today's BW Thread . Real eye candy this afternoon, some good features for the observer. I did a pan of the sunset tonight which I'll stitch tomorrow night, should look ok.

Likewise, up on my roof this evening shooting (film). I saw the same golden mammatus as in Davids shots but from over here.

Hi All,
Last night I saw one of the strangest things. I went out on my verander looking at the sky to see if we would get a decent sunset and there was cloud over head and it was clear to the west so I thought it would be a decent one. So up to one of my vantage spots and there were a few clouds over head. Then all of a sudden it looked like smoke showing up over head. Then it started turning into mammatus clouds still see through. Then the thin smokie cloud started to get thicker and thicker. I have seen clouds form before but what happened last night was new to me going from a clear sky to mammas in a matter of minutes. I am glad I was out early to see this form. It was as if a jet had gone over head leaving a vapor trail and the cloud spreading out from that. But this was not the case. It was just fantastic to see this form. i am glad I was not the only one to witness last nights sunset.

Here's the pan from last night's sunset, quite a sight as Lindsay said.
