Well we are now above average for the year with the average from jan to june of 381mm being exceeded already.

We have had over 100mm this month too which is good.

That high looks like it will slowly weaken over the weekend.

looks like some more rain on the way..WA welcomes widespread rain
Tom Saunders, Thursday June 26, 2008 - 19:25 EST
After a dry start to winter much of western and southern WA can expect widespread rain over the next few days.

Cloud thickened over the west coast during Thursday as a trough deepened off the coast with light rain falling north of Perth by 5pm, including 5mm at Morawa, already their heaviest fall in 2 months. The rain will increase overnight and spread further inland as the trough draws moist tropical air south from the Indian Ocean.

The heaviest falls on Friday should be between about Geraldton and Shark Bay where upwards of 25mm is likely, but light patchy falls should stretch south to Albany and west to the Eucla coast.

A front will maintain rain across the west and south of the state through Saturday, lifting totals by Sunday to at least 20mm from Albany to Exmouth.

Rain will be lighter inland but much of the Central Wheat Belt and Great Southern should receive at least 10mm.

The south eastern suburb of Roleystone has been one of the worst affected areas, with a home reportedly losing its roof.

A car has also been damaged by an uprooted tree, and many more trees have fallen.

Old man reported "heaviest rain he has been in since he lived in Singapore" this afternoon driving through the southern burbs. Looked great on satellite with all the "blobs"forming off the coast on the trough. Couple of fronts to come so looking good for some more rain.

uit annoys me a bit... how they say it will be 2 tonight... usually min temps are reached in the morning of the next day

yep 5 is the minimum then from wed onwards a nice little deep low develops... lets hope it doesn't turn into a fizzer !

-1.1degrees here... only 20km south of the city.. brrrr

warming up though 16 now and midday approaching

There is a nice low developing near perth... though at the moment the rainfall predictions are still quite low...

for more detailed analysis and up to the minute info regarding the event in the next few days, see

WA Weather group
http://waweathergroup.com/forum/index.php

I will post here as i do, as much as possible.. though not sure if the low will be that interesting to perth itself.
