I kick my spring off with a bizarre combination which has an extra-terrestrial feel to it. Some mammatus under the sw flank and weird power fans... maybe old jet fans on poles...dunno, they were weird. Found them on my lunch break just popping out to have a look at todays storms in the NW burbs of Melb.

Thanks WC, you often find the most interesting objects to shoot when you don't expect it.

Yer, Cameron, it's a good sign mate that the next 4-6 weeks will provide the best weather that we'll get for a while in Vic. It also means that nsw and qld will make the rest of us drool as tracker lights up like a xmas tree.

Greg, I think they may be frames for windsocks. Were these near Melton on the Western Hwy by any chance?

I think @tc the top two images would look great framed as a pair and mounted the way you have them displayed

Ah righto! I think they were located on Sharps Road, behind the AP. It makes sense that they are perhaps as you say, considering their proximity to planes. Interesting.

Lovely capture Wolf, lovely story unfolding.

Jane, beautiful shape isn't it? Like tendrils of ferry floss;)

This evenings light was up there with the best i've ever seen. It only lasted 4minutes, but it was well worth the 90minute wait!
