Giddy up DS. That would be pretty incredible if it comes off. Heres hoping as it would give the east coast a good drink early february as well. Good to see some decent inland falls finally eventuating.

i had to post it as it looked better!!!

Here are some photo's from near the Stuart Hwy 22km north of town from today.

Checked out this soak at the bond springs aerodrome turn off and found a good patch of Nardoo (water fern) growing in the middle.

Plenty of Nardoo in this pool of water at Colyer Creek.

Crystal clear rock pool and hundreds of Tadpoles.

Many Zebra Finches and Diamond Doves were arriving at this soak to drink whilw I was there.

Looking at the charts and 28th,29th Jan may produce a shower or two for the southern NT.
Also the temps are expected to drop back to the mid 30's next weekend, These 40c temps are starting to burn of the grass
and some cooler weather will be welcome again.

Interesting! GASP showing a Low over the NT/WA border on the 30th while GFS has a low positioned in the Gulf for the 30th.
Some more rain from the north would be nice to keep the grass growing.

Nice sunset here in the Alice this evening from the high cloud shooting down from Tennant Creek, Models suggesting some rain for us on Thursday/Friday might go for a chase out east to Ross River on thursday since I have the day off work + over 200mm fell that way earlier in the month, need to get more pics before the countryside browns off.

Found this online local weather station on the net for Gillen in Alice springs
and I am only 2km ESE of it . This station has had 158mm for the month and I have had 151mm.
Here is the link.

Hey cece, That's one real isolated part of the country. I bet they enjoyed that fall yesterday in Laverton.
