Bloody good buildup atm and thunder rumbling, A nice bit off rain moving in over the catchment as well.
Hey Trav, I would love to photograph a storm with red sandunes in the foreground, always looks cool against the red earth.

I am confused with the radar at the moment, got one storm going north to south (the one thats just been through alice) and the one coming across from the west south west, are they going to converge or?

The convergence line to the SW is very active. Lightning is very frequent. The radar is still picking a nice signal despite the attenuation factor. I still feel a little doubtful that it will get as far as Alice as the N/NW winds through the mid levels may force it to move further to the east. Watching with interest.

Sounds like a good area to go to view this storm. Just before the Waterhouse range there are several good vantage points.

Just be careful not to get yourself caught out by flooding roads etc. That storm will have a big punch and it is only going to intensify more with the added moisture coming from the north.
