I am asking because I am apart of a small charity in my area and we are looking into cameras etc..

We like the look of the Nikon D3000 camera atm but we need opinions.

The camera we are after needs to be able to take brilliant high quality photos (good enough to sell, calenders etc..), panoramas, a long battery life and preferrably a good SLR camera.

So I am just asking for different opinions and also if anyone has ever come across this camera? A review is fine as well.

Thanks guys smile

Sarah, a great place to find reviews on cameras and lenses is at http://www.dpreview.com
There a great write up on the D3000 there ( http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikond3000/ ) and also a comparison with its predecessors.

Personally, and I know it's for a small charity, I'd be looking at the Nikon D5000 with its extra features and 2.1 exrta megapixels... or better yet, get a Canon. wink
