What a beast, Julian!

I don't care about the, ummm...recent issues. I would fly on the A380.

This is my all time favourite aircraft at the moment - Emirates & V Australia have some very sleek B777-300ER's smile

This particular B773ER belongs to Air India, which made a special journey from AKL to BNE to pickup pax for the Games in Delhi a while back. Air India does not normally operate out of the east coast so was a nice surprise to have her visit.

I am very discreet with my photography goings ons @ work - discretion is a necessity unfortunately. That particular shot I took from the door of my office with my DSLR (gotta love telephoto zoom) I normally always have my iPhone on me & the majority of my shots @ work are from my iPhone (mega discreet).

we had a air new zealand boeing 747 land at townsville about 10days ago, sadly no idea it was coming in and no way to photograph it. been a long time since we saw a 747 in townsville. we have an international airport but lost our last international flights to cairns about 7years ago.

strategic airlines will operate between townsville and bali starting next month.

Nice captures Ryan! Remember as a kid in Adelaide it was a buzz to see a British Airways 747 drop in for a visit & depart very low climb over Grange Primary school where I used to attend..

Mick, wonder what one of our 744's was doing in Townsville.. charter, freight or emergency?

Interesting! There was a Air NZ Jumbo at Canberra airport the day the new terminal opened, last week. I didn't see it, but a work mate said there was a big Air NZ plane "with the big lump at the front" parked there. Maybe it was doing a tour of secondary airports.

Hey Julian, bit of a weird question but it occurred to me when I was watching your video...

When the Pax disembark and all the luggage is loaded off, does the plane rise a little bit? I imagine a couple of hundred people + their bags weigh a fair bit - OR does the fuel going on kinda keep it balanced?
