Mick10 - If you are in TSV or CNS, that would be right.

TLA is on a temporary charter for another carrier at the moment & she covers CNS-BNE-MEL-BNE-TSV-CNS sectors.

Wings over Illawarra at Illawarra Regional Airport (YWOL) was on Sunday the 27th of Feb 2011. A resident had whinged about aircraft noise last year so the displays were a bit on the short side, its funny how one b*%$ has nothing to do but ruin it for the rest of us, we literally saw a 2 minute hornet display and that was it, seriously once a year for 10 minutes one person could put up with an F/A-18 Hornet showing it's capabilities for all of us to enjoy. Makes me want to find her address and go to her house and plaster her car and house with I <3 Aircraft noise stickers grin

Anyways here are a few pics I have gone through so far of the old birds doing their thing.

Catalina Flying Boat "Felix"

Lockheed Hudson

Lockheed Super Constellation VH-EAG "Connie"

The very short glimpse we saw of the F/A-18 Hornet, glad I was in a spotting place at the airport and didn't pay to go in as it wasn't worth it.

Hey guys while I was looking for info on my sick Desktop widget I stumbled across these great pics.

Don't know if anyone has posted these type of aircraft pics before?

I took these for my Dad with his camera, coming over his back yard for landing at Parafield Airport while the V8's where on in Adelaide in 07?

While not quiet an aircraft spotting, this is a picture from the cockpit of me landing a C172 at YSCB (Canberra) last week on runway 35, with a bit of a cross wind.

Hi FlyGirl,

I've looked at this photo upside down, lightened it, darkened it, used the zoom function but it still has me stumped - what is the black mark across the windscreen?? When I first looked at it quickly I thought it was the wiper blade but it obviously isn't.

Nice photo by the way!

Greg

Hi Greg,

The black mark is the prop, it is the way digital cameras take photos that makes the prop look like that.

just a few from me down at the gc seaway when the brand new F18 Super Hornets were doing a formation flyby around SEQ, we only got 16 of them down at the gold coast while the sunny coast got 20! haha

I was up on red hill lookout when I noticed a group of planes performing acrobatics over tuggeranong, obviously practicing, before repeating the same maneuvers over parliament house, easy to identify that they were the roulettes.

Here they are flying towards the sun:

over canberra:

and a Turn over parliament house:

Sorry about the poor quality of this shot in the link below, but I was caught off guard (sitting in my back yard) when this Emirates Airbus went overhead super, super low, whilst circling over Melbourne for the Melbourne Cup Day.
Though this shot is rather 'spooky', the aircraft was a superb 'piece' of 'machinery' to be seen so, so, so close. It was way out of normal airspace, but knowing that it was doing organised fly-overs made its closeness less of a concern. [img:center]http://www.realistartinoz.com/[/img]
P.s. we had extremely low cloud at the time.
