Could you please back off on the advertising content of the website. It is taking ages to load and it is all the crap that loads first. When it finely all loads then I can go to the silver log in page and log on. I have tried going to the log-on page direct by book marking the log-on page but when you do that it does not register and takes you back to the free info page with all the crap adds on it. What would be even better would be that you could use RSS with a log-on key embedded in the RSS address that gives you the info as if you are logged in

Adverts are easily blocked. PM me and I'll show you how.

Personally I can't stand distracting adverts on websites.

Cheers,

The workaround I mentioned above no longer works on Weatherzone, the evil demons in flashy distracting advertising land have been at it again.

A solution is at hand.

See http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm - I've been using this method of blocking nasties for years and it works a treat, the latest file has been updated and now blocks the latest bought of annoying flashy-ads.

Peace out,

Drew.

Oops.

The above file doesn't work reliably.

Here's what works for me:

Use the above referenced hosts file but add the following:

Code:
# Annoying flash adverts on Weatherzone
127.0.0.1 2mdn.net

Cheers,

Drew.

ahh you still get ads when your a member. If you dont see at least 2 on this page you have them blocked using an add-on.

I know some are on IE...

One solution is Firefox + Adblock Plus (add-on)...I only get some Fairfax stuff at the bottom of the main site...none on the forum. smile

I have No Ad at home and forget what it's like... logging on at work reminds me. The moving/flashing avatars are stilled by No Ad, too.
