Some big booming rolls of thunder coming from a storm just to the west of Armidale. Just saw a CG up on the hill too! grin

There's a very nice view of the Beaudesert cell on Shayne-cam on BSCH:

The live timelapse is even better:

That is fantastic footage
OH is at home (North Maclean) and can hear rumbles from this cell. Said it has become really warm suddenly

big booming thunder just then, currently 29.9 here with 64% humidity...

EDIT...is that a lil guster i see before me...?

mmmmm... I'm not so sure. I've lost all my optimism. I think it'll either die or go to the west of us. :-(

We've just had 11mm here from a thunderstorm. grin Spewed out a number of CGs when it was to the west of here before arriving but became nearly all CCs as it gradually weakened. The wind would have peaked at close to 50km/h. All the time during the storm, despite moderate to heavy rain at times, I could easily see blue sky to the south so the southern side of the city would've had far less.

Just about to get close to you now Simmo. But i think Brisbane will miss this one - sorry James!!!

There seems to be a couple of nice cells building now and actually lasting longer than I expected. WOuld be great if in the next hour or so if things ramp up a bit as things cool down. I live in hope. :-)

Currently at Coopers Plains and can see the Gust front just a little way to my SW. Nothing spectatucular but a storm nether less!
Trust me to leave my mobile phone at home as it was flat as a tack and I didn't think it was going to storm - talk about Murphy's Law!

Went right through the guts of the cell here at Spring Mountain some pretty impressive rainfall rates, a bit of wind aswell and some CG's looks like more cells building up to the west. Got some great photos will upload later.

still to soon to say if my reverse psychology worked on it or not :-D

That cell out near Harrisville is a beauty. Its also good to see a lot more happening down between Stanmore and Lismore,

Interesting to note there are no warnings out... the storms can't be too severe...

Edit Reason: saw warnings (or lack thereof)
