Hi Freeze,

haha thanks.

Another complication is that the road going to Warwick is shut from 8am to 5pm due to road works after landslides earlier this month.

I wish that decision was so easy....

Provided that I can get everything that needs to be done today out of the way, I will be out and about tomorrow. Personally, I am favouring the eastern side on the ranges. I guess I will head out to Boonah/Beaudesert but will consider going down to the Casino area if things are looking good down there in the morning.

Hoping for it to be a real stinker tomorrow. I want it to be hot and humid and generally really uncomfortable. Would like to see dew points get up a degree or two from where they are now.

PS. I am biased towards these areas since they are closer to where I live.

Hmmm Strange... The 00z data for YBBN isn't available for download and it normally is by now. Most other sites for Australia are there, but no Brisbane. Perhaps they have run out of helium.

It's available on the BOM site! Looks quite nice too! Just a tad drier than yesterday but storms could still definitely fire this arvo in my opinion! There's already some nice Cjs on the ranges.

Since 9.00am EST there has been a very small cell near St George which is slowly slowly building and heading east towards Moonie, worth keeping an eye on it, you can only pick it up on the 256Km Moree and Warrego radars so it doesn't look much at this point.

Warrego radar is picking up some cell that are forming around the area. Just need to wait and see what happens.

Dam hot though.

Steering should be more from the SW today too.. so things might have a better chance than yesterday of travelling closer to the coast.

Nice couple of cells formed down around Coffs, but I noticed that the top blew off them pretty quick.

Ok guys finally got time to put the photos I took of yesterdays cell that made its way up from Beaudesert yesterday afternoon, was quite a good cell but eventually did a rather big outflow push and chocked itself to death.

Bit of a pano timelapse taken from Spring Mountain

Thanks man, yeh looking quite good for a storm or two this afternoon we are certainly hot and moist enough on the surface to surpass those few little inversions. We have better Windshear profile today which should promote a bit more longevity for cells. Things should really start to get cranking when the easterly strengthens up later on this arvo. Low level moisture doesnt look fantastic but still looks to be adequate and that better shear profile should help us out.

Looks like we have some black/pink in that storm cell near Kyogle and looks like it's starting to move up north...
