people can also visit
131940 Qld Gov Road Closures Site
RACQ Road Conditions Nation Wide

According to The RACQ the following Roads are closed to all vechiles in the hervey bay area:
Pialba Burrum Heads Road near Craignish.
Booral Rd, Booral is closed to all vehicles near the Main Street Intersection.
Torbanlea Pialba Road at Torbanlea State School.
it has been a long time since ive heard of the Pialba-Burrum Rd going under near craignish its common for it to go under at toogoom.
I will try and go out for a look later and take the camera with me.
The Fraser Coast Chronicle had a story this morning and in it it said about Taylor St & Hillyard St Intersection Being under water yesterday which woulodnt surprise me when the rain starts again if i see any flooding ill take pics

This afternoon there were many roads cut as that storm rolled through Boat Harbour Drive (the main drag) was cut in atleast 3 places, there was about half a metre of water flowing rapidly accross Torquay Rd. The Usual Rds Would still be under water ie: Crn Main St & Booral Rd, Woods Rd, Torbanlea Rd @ The Torbanlea State School,
Hearing On The Scanner That the roads to Howard are cut and Police are trying to work out if the howard unit will be able to get back out there.

Hi ryanHjs.
Do you know what section of Torquay Rd was flooded? The roof at work was leaking last week, so I'm dreading going back next week after all this rain. Especially if there has been half a meter of water through the office as well! The ducks that hang out in the carpark have probably been loving this.

It was at the intersection of Fraser St & torquay Rd, also Fraser St & Ann Street Had water rushing over them, Ann St is now being covered by water at the lake behind the Happy Wanderer and Boat Harbour Drive has water over it at the australianan caravan park !

Hey ryanHjs,

I also heard on the scanner about the Howard unit not being able to get out at about 3:30'ish this arvo.. hopefully they got out.

I haven't driven to see Main st/Booral rd yet, but I imagine that it would be well and truly under; maybe enough to warrant a "road closed" sign perhaps? It seems that when I search on the racq site and 131940 site it reckons no roads are under in Hervey Bay. I've been seeing a lot of comments on the news sites from people saying that roads have been under for 2 days, and those sites still reckon that they are clear.

I am in Stanthorpe and waiting for access to Brisbane from Warwick. Finding it very hard to get information if any routes are open, especially Warwick to Toowoomba. Pretty sure Cunninghams Gap will stay closed today? Can anyone help??

From the Chronicle (online) -
Quote:
WHOLE sections of road were washed away yesterday as the torrential rain that has caused havoc across the state hit the Fraser Coast.

Torrential rain closes road
It doesn't actually say what road it was referring to but says that Pialba-Burrum Heads Rd was cut near Toogoom turn-off, and road flooded at Torbanlea.
Also said that
Quote:
The rain is not expected to ease for at least another week.
