Sorry I didn't take any pictures.Kent street was open then but i doubt it would be now. muddy waters cafe was already well flooded and the water was nearly on to kent street then. queens Park already was filling with water. I am going for a drive know to see if we can get to the in-laws place at walkers point through Granville. Qld Gov site doesn't list any road closures around here on its site at the moment.

Went out and about this arvo to check out the usual trouble spots spots. I thought the River Heads Rd would be cut but it wasn't. There was water lapping at the side in one low section but not over the road. I would have like to stop for a pic but nowhere to pull over. My mother was stressing out because she did not want to get stuck at River Heads. Had to do lots of defensive driving to avoid potholes, but managed to hit a beauty on the way back on the Burrum Heads Rd near the Maryborough Rd intersection. Couple of spots at Eli Waters where I wanted to take pics but couldn't because I had cars right up my clacker and nowhere to pull over. Lots of water around Craignish and we didn't even make it as far as the Toogoom turn-off as I didn't want to take too many chances with the Commodore. I was getting some strange looks from other drivers. They were probably wondering why the crazy lady was standing in the rain with a camera.
I was going to check out the Main St/Booral Rd intersection but headed over to the other end of town instead. I was going to check out Susan River after Burrum Heads Rd but headed for closer to home and the duck ponds and boat ramp at Point Vernon. My mother and I were sitting in the car while my daughter and her boyfriend were taking pics of the duck pond when three roos headed straight for the car. They jumped to the other side of the road to go around and then back to the side towards where the kids were. They all looked like males so I was panicking that they would go for the kids. They didn't. My daughter got them on video with the camera, a bit grainy and not very good zoom but it didn't turn out too badly. That isn't something that happens every day. Photos are uploading (taking forever) to Photobucket so will post a couple later.

Really great photo's and footage of the event Michelle_m and everyone! It's very strange to see this sort of stuff posted on this thread ever since it started a few seasons ago the sign of the times!

Still raining here quite heavy drizzle the radar seems to have it hanging around for a while.

Rails are coming off the Lamington Bridge in Maryborough as I type. The road is shut and they are obviously expecting it to go under soon. Still no flood warning for the Mary. Maryborough Hervey Bay road isopen again too I know someone who got through an hour ago.

Nice photos Michelle and everyone else! As Muso said its great to get heaps of photos in these events as they occur. Photos give readers a full appreciation of whats happening in each area in addition to the reports and descriptions people give as they unfold.

All the new trains in the new EDI area at the bottom end of Kent street were moved late this afternoon. their is no water over kent street in that area at the moment but its not far of the edge of the road behind Muddy Waters Cafe. Can Anyone let me know why their is no Flood warning for the Mary on the BOM site when its already flooded enough to have one business flooded. Obvoisly the council know more than the BOM as the rails are coming of the Lammy bridge.

Apparently it's precautionary - once rails are off it will reopen. They think at high tide it might go under. I think my sister was talking to the guys taking them off - that's where I got this info from.

The lakes behind us got up to 2 metres over the bank but that was wide spread.

Totness street was under the other night but not yesterday during the day.

I read somewhere that Lamington bridge is under today. The ground is so wet you squelch everywhere.

I have photos from today of the Lamington Bridge in Maryborough - as yet no water has gone over and I don't think it will how as it's stopped raining and no flood warning for the Mary.

I just went for a bit of a look, Lamington Bridge still hasn't gone under. Minor flooding at best....nothing compared to what I remember seeing in '92 and '99.

Couldn't get out to the dam wall today due to road flooded, got to within 500m via fence crawling and paddock hopping. The noise even at that distance was deafening shocked

My family and I are stuck in a hotel in Hervey Bay on our way home to Mackay, thought we'd get through (from Brisbane) since my folks were able to last night but we were at Apple Tree Creek for 4 hours before settling here for the night.
Anyone know the best website or number to call for updates, RACQ have been late with every update, QLD roads as well and ABC Radio isnt convenient for on demand information.

Our wedding 2 days ago got rained out in Brisbane (funny enough didn't really rain much until that day where we were staying)and most our guests couldnt make it due to flooding and then last night I got news my little brother broke his femur(?) in 2 places motor bike riding and after having surgery today I just really really want to get home now frown

There a big mess the roads around Wide Bay at moment, have to dodge the pot holes.

Drove from Childers to Brisbane today.

The Burnett at Bundaberg is 7.75m so maybe the 7.8 will be right.

The speed of the water is an eye opening.
