Not a bad day away from the west coast, bright and sunny, not much wind, was quite mild when I was out this morning - no beanie or coat required. No rain to report either.

Good to hear you got some lightning this morning SF!

Just had a good storm come over home with heaps of lightning and constant thunder!! grin

It's headed towards Richmond way, had about 9mm of rain with a max rain rate of 77mm/hr, bit of a breeze in it as well, first thunderstorm in a while for out here which delivered some much needed rain.

To the beginning of September we've had 227mm of rain, would be nice to get a bit more! smile

Morning all

Good to hear you got to taste our weather BIGT. Did return trip to Burnie yesterday and had some light snow showers on the higher sections of the Murchison Hwy.

No record temps down here. Although starting to hit warmest days/nights since May, top max so far though is just 16.5 for us. September averaging 2.6 to 13.0. This morning was our 89th morning below 2.0 and the 52 under 0 (-0.4). Grass is lush and growing fast.

That's a lot of low temps Dan!!! smile

Yes we have just had our hottest September Day AND Night temp on Saturday - smashed the old records by around 2 degrees.

not a good thing in my books.

Still - I had -1 this morning grin

Looks like Bathurst has had +100 sub 2 degree nights and far more sub -3 nights. That Sat min stands out in a month with 16 nights below 2 and 5 nights below -3. Mind you your days are more than 5 degrees warmer than here already, 4 days over 25. Not much rain for the month either at just 14mm. Going to get ugly this summer - short of a La Nina/-ve IOD type relief.

Yep we warm up much quicker than Tassie from now on.

EC & Access hinting at a half decent inland rain event (mainland) later next week.

Could make the Race here interesting!!! If it rains. Have not had a wet race for a while.

I think it is beginning the path to turn around the rainfall - bloody well hope so anyhooo.

The boys down south of you badly need a big drink as well.

It's so good down there Ron that I wish I could still live back there. Family keeps us on the mainland but our hearts will always be in Tassie.

Have a ball Big T - he's already seen some flakeage grin

That rain event I was hoping for up here late next week - you buggers down south have stolen it!!! EC & Access have a trough/low cruising down through Vic to you guys. Hopefully the Eastern side of the state gets a decent drop.

Chance of snow to 300-400m briefly early Saturday in the SW. Going by thickness and moisture at that time. Maybe one last dusting SF. Maybe nothing!

Well in Brisbane we have long summers, so this air is a treat. At cradle we had a good blast of snow the morning we left , spent some extra time there playing with wombats in the snow at ronnies ck. onto Strahan and now Hobart , clarity of the air is the thing that I am lapping up. Today was port Arthur in crystal clear conditions , nature getting it right down there. Weather now closed in with light rain , drizzle in town , but loving It. Impressed with Hobart , very clean . Off to Bruny tomorrow for a surf on one of those boats that whiz about , then a little stop at the whiskey house before wifey drives back to town. Loving it. Wouldn't mind a log shack up in the hills somewhere to sneak down to each winter.
