Wound up with 15mm after a bit more came through last night. Took September beyond 70mm.

Yes, not bad but still a fraction below the average for Sep of 85mm. About 100mm YTD down on the annual average. (Average is 644mm to end of Sep)

I'm still jealous smile

We've had 214 ytd but should be at 450. You win hands down.

Your Sept average is about double ours. We average about 47mm - so far 16 actual.

What's your annual average? ours about 630.

Be 350mm-400mm for Sep alone wouldn't it PH, twice what DM has received in the first 9 months of the year.

About 830-850mm is average here.

In the meantime... bring it on smile

Western District Forecast

Saturday 30 September

Cloudy. Very high (95%) chance of showers. Snow falling above 300 metres. Winds west to southwesterly 25 to 40 km/h tending west to northwesterly 30 to 45 km/h in the afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between zero and 4 with daytime temperatures reaching between 6 and 11.

Snow also forecast to this level in several other district forecasts. South East, Upper Derwent Valley, Midlands. Even the East Coast gets a forecast of snow to 400m along with the North West Coast. North East and Central North to 500m. The Central Highlands goes without saying.

So pretty much Statewide to 500m or less. Here's hoping smile

Any rain would be welcome down here in the SE thats for sure! grin

Looking forward to tomorrow morning with the forecast of a 200m snow line first up! Been fairly windy today, clocked gusts at 71 km/h at home, not much precip as the shower hung around the hills as usual, hoping for some decent precip early tomorrow morning.

Enjoy your time over here Duane! Good timing to see some snow as well! smile

Current Obs, 12.6 C, 997.1hPa, WNW 28 km/h -gusts 42 km/h.

24.5mm and 3 at 9am

A very cool 20-30kts SW.

Light settling of snow/hail earlier this morning, gone now. Have had a few snow showers since then. Was a very short, sharp blast of cold air.

First 20 degree day (20.0 exactly) in 5 months yesterday (since 29th of April when it reached 20.5).

September ended with averages of 2.8 to 13.2 and 80.2mm of rain. Did I read that it was the coolest Sep in Tas since 2003?
