I'll have to put the radio on Storm, just sent a message to a friend in town who was in the flooded area yesterday and am waiting for a reply.

Another 183mm yesterday, 41mm to 4pm with the remainder overnight.

Our total for the month is almost 600mm, well and truly above the average already. Weather gods, please leave Cardwell alone !!!!!!!!

Yeah you all need a break, send it up our way we are happy to help...radar only shows light rain around, maybe there is no SE surge anymore and just a monsoon trough to our south??

Looks like Bilyana scored well over 200mm overnight, but the alert appears to be broken. Upper Murray just West of the Bilyana alert is over 200mm, Bilyana usually beats it by a fair margin.

Just saw this in the CS thread:

Would definitely want that to stay away from the coast, it looks like it'd hit in exactly the same spot as Yasi. Of course, loongg way out and only 1 models opinion.

43mm for Smithfield for the 24hrs since 9.00am. The hill where we live is absolutley sodden still and water pouring down the driveway into the gutter. I'm recalibrating the forcefield around Cairns to protect Cardwell and the likes - I mean seriously, enough is enough for you guys!!!!

64mm in Innisfail for 24 hours. Poor hubby got home at 7.30 this morning drenched and exhausted after standing in the rain at Kennedy for 12 hours with a road closed sign. Hoping the water levels drop so he doesn't have to go back out tonight.

So do these guys talk to the guys that draw the "Latest" weather chart ??

It seems like most of this week the charts have been way off with what is actually happening..

Looks like he will be out again! It hasn't stopped raining all day and we've had another 51mm since 9am.

Still no sign of it letting up.
