Hi guys

I have finally sorted out my Yasi footage, still have not gotten to my Anthony footage, i have been very busy.

The length of the movie goes for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Just a quick question, when people are watching this what do you guys want?

The whole 1.4 hour movie were you get to see the buildup to the cyclone in cardwell, and the buildup in ingham and then the storm surge and damage in townsville the next day.

Or would a highlight video that goes for 10-20 minutes be better?

Myself i think the best one is the movie length DVD. Beacuse to me, thats why we went into the cyclone in the first place, and that was to get footage. We got it, and im assuming that people want to see it all.

Nitso and myself have watched it together, and he believes its good and that it may be a bit long, but for cyclone lovers such as our selves, the length shouldnt matter.

I didnt go into a cat 4/5 cyclone to get 10-20 minutes of footage poke So who would actually be interested in seeing this footage, im going to have to start working out how im going to do this. I may have to put a price on it, although very small, probably 15-20 bucks, as well as postage.

Yeah for sure. I mean you pay $7.50 to get a DVD from the shops these days. Whats $20 when someones put a heap of time into it. If you get a daylight cyclone next year i'd even pay $30 Trav. Good on you mate.

I'll be in that too Trav, I know how long it can take just for editing small clips let alone something as historic as this. Especially if abridged and un-cencored..and of course some humour. Being on slow dial-up I cannot d load even the smallest clips. Will be a fine addition to my other (Natures Fury) section...

Awesome guys, ill get in touch with people who are interested for postage detials etc in the next week or so, and then im looking at the end of the month for postage. Just a quick run through. Video includes

Driving north too Ingham and Cardwell that morning
Conditions destablising in cardwell from sunny too near gales
We then leave cardwell ( haha and yes i have the bit were i hide nitsos phone )
We then go to ingham to set up at the motel with orebound
This includes the drive to lucinda, were the winds were already category 1 strength
The buildup from near gales too category 2 in Ingham, before the power goes out and we had to head back to the motel.

Just so everyone knows and i hope everyone understands, we obviously couldnt get awesome footage off stuff getting blown away due to the power. Everything up until the power goes out is pretty mad, if you havnt seen the buildup to a cat 5 its awesome to see it.

I may even throw in another dvd with a video i did in ingham of the damage.

The footage is unedited, i really didnt wanna edit it into small pieces, because obviously i wanted to get as much footage as possible, as this was the first time anything like this has hit QLD.

I love what you do, and I plan to buy this product of your brave work.
However, I couldn't help noticing that you're pretty quick to dismiss talk of Yasi being Cat 5 when discussing the destruction wreaked on people's homes and livelihoods, but don't seem to mind using the term to promote your own agenda.
Just looking for consistency mate, don't tear my head off wink

Glad you noticed smile

Its just easier to say Category 5 at this point in time, if i put category 4 onto my video right now, people are going to ask why isnt it a cat 5 when bom said it was. SO by trying to stay away from that conversation and question it has come up poke

Im only saying cat 5 just to stay away from questions, as people obviosuly know how i feel about what strength yasi was.
