3 hours? It's only about 150km isn't it?

You have been asking for a meet in the SE so I hope you can make it in June...

long range models are looking very interesting, cant wait to see what happens with the developing cyclone off WA and whether a low will be able to take advantage of the high moisture there. the models have been suggesting it will for a couple of days now

The blocking high in the Tasman will probably kill any chance of anything decent.

SATURN'S RINGS SURGE IN BRIGHTNESS: This Sunday, April 3rd, Saturn is "at opposition"--that is, opposite the sun in the skies of Earth. Whenever this happens, Saturn's rings surge in brightness. Why? Scroll down for the explanation; on the way, inspect this photo taken by Paul Haese of South Australia on March 30th:

My best belated birthday wishes Azza! There is a definite feeling to me that the winter pattern has started to raise its head. Not the south-western fronts and lows yet, but the sun just doesn't have that lasting power after it sets like the March and April of recent years. We where down at Mclaren Vale last night for Lionel Richie and it was bitterly cold once the sun absconded. I think I've felt warmer on Lofty snow chases before.

Arrrrrrh frown Looks like I'm a no show at the meet up this sunday. Seems the people I was intending to stay with are visiting us up here. Surely one day I'll get to meet some of you.

As for the current weather? Lovely days, chilly nights but how I wish we could score a storm or two before the summer heat completely disappears. Too late already I fear. Alas...the summer that never was! cry

certainly the forecasts for the next week have the large high moving away and a couple of cold fronts moving through attached to cut off lows. My feeling is that the season wont be broken with a big rain for a while now though...might be dribs and drabs but nothing major until a month into the future...might be rubbish but there are certainly no spiders building webs anymore and before all the big rains in summer there were 4 or 5 large spider's webs in particular spots.

We've had about half a dozen of those goliath spur-throated locusts in the backyard over the last couple of days. Shows how abnormal the seasons have been as Adelaide is a loooong way south of even their intermittent range.

Same here Chris. I've 'chased' a couple out as they were Too Big to Man-Handle eek (Humungus) (Really Big) and a Smaller Cricket in the House today. Couldn't get close enough for a Piccie - nice one by the way

As usual, another day in Paradise, AKA, South Australia.

Our weather stations must be somehow related there WG as mine has been displaying the rain icon for the past day or so ... confused
Can't wait to hear the rain again ... and some lightning & thunder would be a nice touch

nice photo Chris...I was walking to the bus today and one of those nearly hit me in the face...close up they look pretty ferocious. A bit of rain would be nice...but there would be nothing better than a bit of lightning activity...I would love to try out the new camera on that, it is yet to be christened with a good photogenic thunderstorm (I got it about a week after Dec 7).

I have begun to make a website, it isnt much because I am about two days old in HTML coding and hence dont know what I am doing. Any feedback on how the site looks or how I could make it better would be much appreciated, no matter how brutal it is! It is only on a free subdomain at the moment because I do not have the money to buy a domain - that will probably come a bit later when I have done more code. Also the rainfall for west terrace and kent town is up there.
