Good on you David! There's a few of us (me included) who's enthusiasm and time for our websites have waned in the last year or so, so yours will be a welcome addition to the SA family.... smile

PS. To everyone - Not too late to decide to come to the BBQ on Sunday! Let me know.

So it's still happening? 17 and a shower or two doesn't look heaps promising. I mean, I'd definitely still be there, but it's not compromising anything is it? poke

Having said that, if we get people pulling out cos of the weather, we might re-evaluate.... I'd suggest keep an eye here for any further info....

Saw first one down here last night...they've got some real power to their jumps poke Was having a close look and it jumped right into my forehead.

Hope you guys don't get too soaked tomorrow! smile Would have come if family weren't in town...got to look after the little Irish cousins, and that's just too much a of a hilarious experience to pass up.

We put the marquee up last night to make sure all the pieces where there. Nice and DRY! It's 3x4 meters (12m\sq), so it's probably comfortable for up to 15 people, but would be fine for more if it's just used during passing showers.

Jack - It's still a long way off but I'll take a shot and say cold, a good chance of rain/showers and maybe also windy.

Should probably mention my forecasting accuracy has been quite poor in the past poke

Some other guys here could probably give you a better idea. Can't remember who, but some SA weatherzoner is a pro medium-long term forecaster. (as in he does it as a profession)

Dcon when I visited your website my Avast free antivirus program said it blocked a trojan horse. So I went to the host of your subdomain site and my Avast program once again said it blocked a trojan horse. I presume this means anyone going to your site or any other subdomain on the hosting site will pick up a trojan horse if they don't have a good anti-evil-ware program. My suggestion is to close your site immediately until the host site removes the trojan horse or you find another host.

and further to my previous post, I suggest going here
http://www.avast.com/en-au/free-antivirus-download http://www.avast.com/en-au/free-antivirus-download
and downloading the free version of the Avast antivirus program and getting it to search your computer, and anyone else who's visited Dcon's site and not been told by their antivirus software that it has intercepted a trojan horse, also doing the same.
I would suggest abandoning that host Dcon.

yep cheers I have done that, I have reinstalled windows on both computers and have been very slack about reinstalling free antivirus software...so thanks for letting me know. I installed that one you recommended above and went to the site and strangely enough it didnt find anything. However,I will take your word for it because yours has been installed longer and I have noticed other problems with linking and stuff like that...so I will abandon that host and find another free subdomain for the time being before I get it hosted by a proper domain.

Personally I dont think there is anything wrong with David's site or the host. Have tested it at home and work and nothing suss coming up. Unless other people are finding something amiss I'd suggest its an issue with Avast rather then the site.

I just went to David's site again, and again Avast said it blocked a trojan horse. I think you've done the right thing by abandoning the site - better safe than sorry - it could be a false alarm from my Avast or my computer but who wants to take the chance?
Thanks for checking it out at home and work TE smile I'm glad the weather for the barbie was reasonable all things considered, and everyone who was there saw the redoubtable Hillsrain in his shorts poke
A light shower falling here at present.

I've got Norton which is extremely good and i am having no problems at all with the website...generally a trojan horse won't do much damage at all to a computer i remember during a brief period of not having an anti virus i had hundreds of them with no problems

I know nothing about this "field of human endeavor" - I'm just reporting on what my Avast is telling me, and making my uninformed suggestions as to what to do about it, and my opinions are not based on any knowledge about trojan horses except that armed men may leap out of them and attack your city eek

Your on the right track unstable! A Trojan horse is a backdoor program to your computer. It allows hackers to steal your information (passwords, credit card details etc) so it is in your best interests to remove these from your computer and not allow new ones to enter.

Cheers
