The following site is an interesting one if you haven't already found it: http://www.iris.edu/seismon/ for quakes, that is.

I think I may have just felt another tremor low rumble with very light shaking. It was very hard to tell either way, am watching the earthquake sites for more info.

Yeah, Good to see I wasn't hearing/feeling things.
It's a fine line between hearing one and going to the quacks.

Read a report yesterday regarding our earthquakes. Aparently the Australian tectonic plate is moving about and bumping against the Asian plate. Hold that thought people. Sounds like one of those rides at the show.

That's odd - yesterday when I checked the IRIS Seismic Monitor one of the two Queensland earthquakes had been removed from the map . Today they are both gone from the map and neither are listed on the "Last 30 day's earthquakes" link from that page..

It updates as they happen Things. Those two earthquakes should still be listed on the Last 30 Days until they fall outside the 30 days. And the map should show them as being a yellow circle indicating the quakes occurred within the last two weeks, or a pink dot indicating they occurred during the past 5 years. They have been removed from both the list and the map.

Try This explorer
go to - Geoscience Australia Website

then - recent earthquake activity

then - within a specific area

then - enter dates ex 01/01/11 and 03/05/11

Then search

Add one somewhere between Glastone and Bilolea ... only mag 2.5, yesterday May 8 2011 at 3:49pm ... still makes you wonder all this sudden activity? Maybe it is common in those areas, it does not get published much and I was not looking before ...

its not all that unusual to get earth tremors through the region. and seismology station at charters towers is still in place to record these tremors. was put there for a reason.
