Air Services Australia new weather cams - 17/05/2017 13:07

I noticed a media release from Air Services Australia announcing the commencement of weather cameras at a number of airports and locations around Australia.

While the locations are fairly restricted at the moment there are plans to expand the network.

The images appear to be high quality.

The design also makes the cameras really great at picking up things like developing fog which is important for aviation weather forecasting and pilots.

Looks like the BOM have installed a few more airport weather cams around the place. Avalon, Camden, Moss Vale, Mt Boyce, Murrurundi and Mildura look to be new ones. Great for watching approaching storms in summer. Brings the total number of web cams to 25 across Australia. Available at

Yes - All these replaced our sets of eyes as our structure no longer exists. No wonder unemployment is so high. ( 1 hour a week is not employment )
