Try to use the thermometer application to get the temperature and weather conditions at the location of the device effectively. I find it pretty good and simpler than the numbers above.

Results for July at Manilla (obs. from 1999 only):
Record low dew points;
Coldest nights since 2002;
Most sunny July;
Rainfall 8.6 mm, 12th percentile.
The report in detail:
https://climatebysurly.com/2018/08/02/july-2018-had-deep-frosts/

More drought details are in other posts, such as:
https://climatebysurly.com/2018/07/30/drought-fifth-month-july-2018/

The rainfall totals for 3 months (15 mm), 4 months (33 mm) and 5 months (58 mm) were all lower than the first percentile, which I call an Extreme Rainfall Deficiency.
That is a category that the Bureau does not yet use. For them, a Severe Rainfall Deficiency is below the fifth percentile. Beyond that they cop out to just "lowest on record".
The rainfall total of 58 mm for the five months ending in July 2018 was at the 0.1th percentile rank, but it was NOT the lowest on record. The lowest five-month total on record was 29 mm in September 1888. The July 2018 figure was only the fourth lowest on record, higher than August 1888 (42 mm) and July 1902 (55 mm).

I am also posting frequently to the thread "NSW rainfall shortage from May 2018" in the weatherzone forum "Weather Events\NSW/ACT."

For Doug
Referred to my "Normal" decade beginning April 1999, my mean monthly average for this July of 10.5 was only 1.0 above normal. The mean monthly maximum of 19.2, however, was 2.1 above normal. That was a record value.
