Thanks Wild Wassa, I look forward to your spring pics!

STL you have an awesome landscape to shoot, those rolling hills are just magnificent, I could only imagine what those hills look like in a fading sunset?

Eddy, please enjoy a few of my Winter images before Spring arrives.

I joined Flickr yesterday, after not appreciating Photobucket ripping-off and ransoming members' images.

The average temp this season has been 1.6C below average, in the SE of NSW which might account for the unusually large flocks of Sulphur Crested Cockatoos wintering in the Yass Valley rather than enduring Winter on the Monaro as they usually do.

My long-time friend Reg, looking sleek and cool, during last Autumn when it was unseasonably warm and Reg lofting his down this Winter.

There have been a few light snow falls on the hills above the Murrumbidgee River, this August.

The Tidbinbilla Range, ACT.

The Baldy Range, NSW.

The Blue Range and Brindabella Range, ACT/NSW Border.

Mother Nature and I jousted this month. She teased me with beautifully mild weather, while I prepared the ground to build a deck. Then, when I thought I was enjoying her company, and her mine, She did here worst.

Overnight temps of -7.0C, -8.6C and -11.0C amongst others. Each morning I'd sweep the frost off.

Then when I'd almost finished sweeping the frost off, it was reforming. So, I would then start again.

The morning of the -8.6C there was no sweeping.

On the nights that it rained, when the rain stopped, I swapped sweeping for ice skating.

I love those pics Wassa, great stuff. You've certainly had some cold mornings.

I have snow pics from the Oberon Plateau taken on Saturday.

Haven't posted anything in ages so thought I'd chuck this up. Too many nice photographs to mention, that very first image Eddy is a beauty, incredible 3D look to that cloud.

Rather envious of the snow pics, hasn't been the most interesting winter here.

Guys and Gals, Winter looks most beautiful in your necks of the bush and your photography equally amazing.

Cold Front, on Sunday 27th of August, it was cold. You would have loved it. You know the old cliche, several seasons in a day? ... well on Sunday it wasn't. It was the depth of winter. The day had frost, sheets of ice, rain, hail, sleet and it also snowed. All enhanced by a bitter wind straight off the Alps.

At the Canberra Airport the minimum reading overnight on the 27th was (IIRC) -1.5C. I'm guessing the heat from the city kept Canberra Airport warm.

Some shots from Sunday 27th ... from the deck of death.

My outside thermometer stopped working on Sunday ... it died from hypothermia.
