Wouldn't be too concerned about 0.4mm,considering what I'm measuring it with...

I've got a $9 Nylex that needs to be stabbed into the ground, & then gets splattered with mud. You can see I'm only a dabbler. I did get a $20 one but the top was too tight to get off and the funnel held the excess water instead of running over the top of the measure. Not that it's likely to run over very often.

I still like my old green one. It survived last season stuck together with sticky tape, & still out there. 😎😎

The lid on my old Pro was too loose after the first few years.
I put 4 tabs of electrical tape just over the edge to tighten it up.
I used the 1mm blade in the 4" angle grinder to cut a small 'V' down to the 25mm mark of the inner tube. Before that the black funnel used to float as the inner tube overflowed into the outer.

Gotta laugh,- I have 3 friends who moved to Cooktown over the last 20 years, and all ended up selling their reef boats 'coz you simply can't use them.
Maybe a 32ft Beneteau Oceanis would be more the go. crazy

Hickory, it wouldn't matter if were a 60 ft boat, someone would still be cleaning up vomit most days...

Cooktown got lucky when GBRMPA were setting up the zoning maps..most reefs off Cooktown escaped Greenzone classification...guess they figured the incessant winds were just as effective as no fishing zones...

I suppose with a blow boat you can still drag a couple of spoons for some spaniards.
