At what point is precipitation marked in on these AccessC charts. For example ,down this way and South there is no precip forecast at all for Monday yet when you look at the forecasts there is a 60pdrcent chance of showers or even a storm?

I have no idea where you guys are seeing this ACCESS C at.. I guess its a WZ subscription thing? I see what you mean Tweed maybe ACC-r is either picking up on a low level undercut of moisture but I looked at the dp in the same chart and its looked pretty humid so there maybe some other factor that is hindering precip for the area. The chance of any rainfall is still fairly high.

ACCESS-C is available through WZ Layers which is subscription-based.

Not sure what site you’re looking at but both the 12z and 18z runs of ACCESS-R have a little bit of precip reaching the Tweed area on Monday (but not much at all and mainly confined to the early morning hours).
The official forecast goes from midnight to midnight for each day and the one for Coolangatta currently has a 50% chance of any rainfall. But due to the time they’re issued, the 18z runs of models aren’t available by that time (the official forecast doesn’t just rely on ACCESS-R obviously and also has manual input).

Thanks Ken yeah I like to look at the interactive wave and weather maps that get updated every 6 hours or so.Probably because no precip shaded in for afternoon /evening has led me to asking this question.

Here's the accumulated precip forecast from the hourly version of ACCESS-R in the 24hrs up to midnight Monday night via Weatherzone Layers.
You can see that according to that model, the coastal border region is right on the tail end of that general activity so could conceivably go either way for there. Time will tell if it's close to the mark or not.

Thanks Ken, I won't bore you any more over this but the BOM have a 70percent chance of shower/ storm forecast on Monday down as far as Coffs Harbour.
